SUMMARY
A container-type rice husk charcoal maker designed for safer and easier production of rice husk charcoal for agricultural and horticultural use. The covered structure helps prevent rice husks from scattering and allows operation even in light rain.

FEATURES
- The covered container structure helps prevent rice husks from scattering during carbonization.
- Can be used in light rain, making production less dependent on weather conditions.
- The cone-shaped carbonizing burner and chimney promote carbonization from the center of the container.
- Continuous attendance beside the unit is not required, allowing other work to be carried out during the smoldering process.
- A front access opening allows the finished rice husk charcoal to be removed after extinguishing.
- Made in Japan.
BENEFITS AND APPLICATIONS OF RICE HUSK CHARCOAL
Rice husk charcoal is produced by slowly smoldering rice husks until they become carbonized. It is mildly alkaline and is valued for its moisture-retention, aeration, and heat-insulation properties.
When mixed into soil or growing media, it may help improve drainage and aeration, retain moisture, reduce the risk of root rot, and moderate acidic soil conditions.
- Soil amendment
- Moisture control
- Supporting beneficial microbial activity
- Mixing with livestock manure compost
HOW TO USE
1. Add the Kindling
Place straw, newspaper, or other suitable kindling inside the main unit.

2. Install the Carbonizing Burner
Place the cone-shaped carbonizing burner over the kindling.

3. Fill the Container with Rice Husks
Fill the area around the carbonizing burner with rice husks. Use the small center cover to close the chimney opening and prevent rice husks from falling inside the burner.

4. Light the Kindling
Place a fire starter or lit kindling inside the carbonizing burner and ignite it.

5. Attach the Chimney
Attach the chimney, then add more rice husks around it as necessary.

6. Allow Carbonization to Begin
The rice husks will gradually begin to carbonize around the chimney.

7. Install the Lid
Attach the lid to help prevent the rice husks from scattering. During carbonization, periodically move the rice husks toward the area around the chimney to promote even carbonization.

8. Extinguish with Water
Once the rice husks have been evenly carbonized, apply water thoroughly to stop the smoldering process.

9. Remove and Dry the Finished Charcoal
Confirm that the fire and all smoldering material have been completely extinguished. Remove the finished rice husk charcoal through the access opening, then spread it out and allow it to dry.

CAUTIONS / NOTES
- Although it is not necessary to remain beside the unit continuously, check the smoldering condition periodically for safety.
- Do not remove the finished charcoal until the fire and all smoldering material have been completely extinguished.
- The product can be used in light rain, but proper monitoring is still required during operation.
