SUMMARY
The KEIBUNTECH SA-31 is a 1-row vacuum precision vegetable seeder designed to place the desired number of seeds accurately at a set plant spacing. Vacuum pressure picks up the seeds at the nozzle, then positive pressure releases them into the soil.
It is best suited to bare, round or oval seeds approximately 1-4 mm in diameter. Standard plant spacing is adjustable from 50 to 400 mm, and an optional 35 mm spacing kit is also available.

SEED COMPATIBILITY
For best results, use bare, round or oval seeds. As a practical guide, seeds around 1 mm in diameter are generally matched with a 0.4-0.6 mm nozzle hole, while seeds around 4 mm are generally matched with a 0.9 mm nozzle hole.
Needle-shaped or very elongated seeds can be more difficult to singulate and may be picked up in multiples.
Coated seed is not recommended. The SA-31 picks up seed by vacuum suction rather than gravity drop. Thin or fragile seed coatings may crack during pickup, which can cause irregular pickup or missed plants. Coated seed may still be used if this risk is acceptable; test sowing is recommended before full-scale operation.
HOW TO READ THE NOZZLE SPEC
- 0.4 / 0.6 / 0.9 mm = diameter of each suction hole.
- 1-Hole / 2-Hole / 3-Hole = number of suction holes on one nozzle.
- 8 pcs / 4 pcs = number of physical nozzles, not the number of holes.
For example, 0.4 mm 1-Hole – 8 pcs means eight nozzles, with one 0.4 mm suction hole on each nozzle.

PLANT SPACING ADJUSTMENT
Standard plant spacing is adjusted by changing the sprocket combination and the number of nozzles installed on the rotor. The standard range is 50-400 mm. 35 mm spacing is available with the optional SA-31 spacing kit (manufacturer part no. 017166).

POWER & CHARGING
The SA-31 uses a DC12V system with 12W rated power. Two 12V batteries are included. A replacement 12V battery is available as manufacturer part no. 003355.
The supplied charger is model HC12-1.0C with AC100V input. When using it with a mains supply other than 100V, a suitable transformer is required.
