SUMMARY
KAKUICHI Shower Long is a long-reach garden watering nozzle that generates fine microbubbles inside a specially designed grip as water flows through it. Simply connect it to a compatible hose—no separate electric power supply is needed.
Its gentle shower is intended for vegetable gardens, young plants, flowers, pots, planters and garden trees. Shower Long brings microbubble water to the root zone as part of everyday plant care. Below, we explain how the system works and share examples of plant-growth observations.※1
FEATURES
- Microbubbles created in the grip: The internal passage is designed to generate very fine bubbles in flowing water. Microbubbles are generally described as approximately 1–100 μm in diameter.
- Root-zone watering: Microbubble water is used with the aim of supporting a favorable environment for root development, seed germination and plant establishment.※1
- Water and soil interaction: Fine bubbles are intended to help water spread through soil and reach the root zone more effectively.※1
- Plant-care potential: Microbubble watering is explored for its possible influence on oxygen availability around roots, microbial activity, plant vigor, flowering and the conditions associated with root rot.※1
- Gentle shower and long reach: The approximately 650 mm body allows comfortable watering deeper into pots and flower beds.
- No external power required: Connect a suitable hose to use the nozzle.
- Easy hand control: An on/off lever is fitted to the blue grip; always close the water tap after use.
Plant Growth Demonstrations
The following comparison shows the root mass recorded in a watering demonstration using ordinary tap water and Shower Long microbubble water.※2
| Reported comparison | Root mass |
|---|---|
| Ordinary tap water | 9.2 g |
| Shower Long microbubble watering | 18.8 g |
In this comparison, the Shower Long sample measured 18.8 g of root mass, compared with 9.2 g for the tap-water sample—approximately twice as much. We also introduce examples related to flowering, seed germination and rooting as illustrations of the possibilities of microbubble watering.※2
Flowering Demonstration
These cyclamen photographs show a side-by-side watering comparison at the start and one month later. In both images, the plant on the left was watered with tap water, while the plant on the right received microbubble water.※3
Rice Germination: 7-Day Comparison
Watch a seven-day side-by-side comparison of rice seeds. The left sample shows water delivered through the Shower Long nozzle, while the right sample uses water without the nozzle. The difference shown is an example from this demonstration.※4
Reach the Base of Plants Without Bending Down
The long-reach nozzle helps direct a gentle shower toward plant bases in garden beds, planters and deeper pots, making everyday watering more comfortable.
Patented Microbubble Grip Technology — Japan Patent No. 7787587
Inside the Shower Long grip, a specially engineered water-flow structure generates microbubbles from gases dissolved in the water. The system needs no separate pump, electrical power supply or chemical additives—water simply flows through the grip.
How Microbubble Water Interacts with Soil
Microbubble watering is designed around contact between water, soil and the root zone. KAKUICHI highlights potential support for water infiltration, root development and plant establishment.※1
Connecting and Using the Nozzle
- Remove the hose attachment from the grip.
- Insert a compatible hose into the attachment.
- Secure the hose firmly in the fitting.
- Reconnect the attachment to the grip, turn on the tap and use the grip lever to control the shower.
For best results, stay within the specified water-pressure range. Drain remaining water after use in freezing weather. Do not use with oils or solvents.

Notes on Demonstrations and Cultivation Effects
※1 — Microbubble and cultivation concepts: The described effects on water movement, root-zone conditions, germination, oxygen availability, microbial activity, plant vigor and root rot are potential benefits discussed in KAKUICHI's product materials, not fixed performance specifications. Actual effects depend on soil, water and growing conditions.
※2 — Root-mass comparison: The figures of 9.2 g and 18.8 g come from the presented comparison example. The photograph illustrates the samples but does not independently establish the measured weights. Detailed test methods, sample size and repeatability data have not been supplied, so the example does not indicate a typical or expected doubling of root mass.
※3 — Cyclamen comparison: The photographs show one watering demonstration at the start and after one month. Flowering and plant growth vary with cultivar, plant condition, temperature, light, soil, fertilization, water quality and watering practices.
※4 — Rice germination video: The seven-day footage is a specific side-by-side demonstration of rice seeds with and without the nozzle. Detailed conditions, sample counts and repeatability data are not available here. It illustrates an observation, not a guaranteed rate or speed of germination.
Overall: The demonstration examples are drawn from KAKUICHI's published materials and have not been independently replicated by Japan Agri Trading. They illustrate potential outcomes; no specific increase in germination, root mass, flowering, yield or water efficiency, or reduction in disease or root rot, is guaranteed.
