SUMMARY
This compact pH meter measures samples from only 0.1 mL by applying them directly to its flat sensor.
Despite its compact size, it uses the same glass electrode measurement principle as laboratory pH electrodes, enabling quick and reliable measurement without requiring a beaker for many applications.
Its portable flat-sensor design is suitable for liquids, moist solids, powders, foods, paper, textiles, and surface measurements.

VERSATILE SAMPLING METHODS
LAQUAtwin's flat-sensor design allows samples to be applied or collected in several convenient ways. Choose the method that suits the sample and measurement purpose.
Direct Drop Measurement
Apply a liquid sample directly to the flat sensor with a dropper, syringe, or pipette. The pH-22B requires only 0.1 mL or more. Sampling Sheet B allows measurement from as little as 0.05 mL.
Immersion Measurement
For liquid samples in a beaker or container, the sensor can be immersed directly in the sample. Open the sliding cap on the sensor guard before measurement.
Scoop Sampling
The sensor guard can be used to scoop a liquid sample directly from a river, lake, tank, or other sampling location for convenient on-site measurement.
Surface Measurement with Sampling Sheet B
Moisten Sampling Sheet B with pure water and use it to wipe a surface such as skin or food before placing the sheet on the sensor for pH measurement.
Moist Solid Samples
Moist solid samples such as foods can be cut into small pieces and placed directly on the flat sensor for measurement.
Powder Samples
Place the powder sample on the flat sensor and add a fixed amount of pure water before measurement. Keep the sample and water quantities consistent when comparing results.
Paper, Textiles, and Sheet-like Samples
Cut paper, textiles, or other sheet-like samples into small pieces, place them directly on the sensor, and add a fixed amount of pure water before measurement.

*1 Measurement is possible from 0.05 mL when using Sampling Sheet B. Close the sensor cover during measurement. For samples containing fine particles, use a separate sampling-sheet retaining cover.
*2 In NIST mode, the meter recognizes pH 1.68, 4.01, 6.86, 9.18, and 12.46 standard solutions. In USA mode, it recognizes pH 1.68, 4.01, 7.00, 10.01, and 12.46 standard solutions.
*3 Indicates repeatability when the same standard solution is measured after calibration with that standard solution. Error in the standard solution and rounding error of ±1 digit are not included.
*4 Equivalent to IP67. The meter will not fail after immersion in water at a depth of 1 m for 30 minutes. It cannot be used underwater.
*5 Battery life is reduced to approximately one-third when the backlight is used. The backlight remains illuminated for approximately 20 seconds.
*6 pH 1.68 and pH 9.18 standard solutions are sold separately. A pH 12.46 standard solution must be prepared separately when required.
Calibration Notes
Select either the NIST or USA standard solution setting before calibration. Use standard solutions that correspond to the selected setting.
For accurate comparison of measurement results, use the same sample preparation method and calibrate the meter with suitable standard solutions.
