SUMMARY

The LAQUAtwin NO3-11C is a compact nitrate ion meter designed specifically for measuring nitrate concentration in crops.

Extracted crop sap can be applied directly to the flat ion-selective sensor, allowing nitrate concentration to be measured quickly from only 0.3 mL of sample.

The meter covers a wide nitrate measurement range and includes dedicated crop standard solutions and the equipment required for crop sap extraction. It is suitable for monitoring crop growth, nutrient conditions, and cultivation management in the field.

CROP MEASUREMENT

The included crop measurement kit provides the main equipment required to extract crop sap and apply it directly to the flat nitrate ion sensor.

Note: The appropriate sampling part and preparation method may vary depending on the crop. Keep the crop variety, sampled plant part, sample amount, extraction procedure, dilution ratio, and measurement conditions consistent when comparing results.

Prepare the Crop Sample

Collect the appropriate part of the crop and use the included crop sap press to extract sufficient liquid for measurement.

Apply the Extracted Sap

Apply the extracted crop sap directly to the flat sensor using one of the included 1 mL droppers. At least 0.3 mL is required for direct measurement.

*1 Measurement is possible from 0.05 mL when using Sampling Sheet B. Sampling Sheet B is sold separately for the NO3-11C. Close the light shield cover during measurement.

*2 Indicates repeatability when the same standard solution is measured after calibration with the standard solution. Standard solution error and rounding error of ±1 digit are not included.

*3 Equivalent to IP67. The meter will not fail after immersion in water at a depth of 1 m for 30 minutes. It cannot be used underwater.

*4 Battery life is reduced to approximately one-third when the backlight is used. The backlight remains illuminated for approximately 20 seconds.

Calibration and Crop Measurement Notes

Use the dedicated 300 ppm and 5000 ppm crop-specific nitrate standard solutions supplied for the NO3-11C.

Nitrate-nitrogen (NO3-N) represents the amount of nitrogen contained in nitrate. It is not a measurement of total nitrogen.

Measurement results may be affected by ions and other substances contained in the crop sap.

If dilution or another form of sample preparation is required, keep the preparation method and dilution ratio consistent when comparing results.

For reliable comparisons, keep the crop variety, sampled plant part, growth stage, sampling time, extraction method, calibration procedure, and measurement conditions consistent.
