Description

SUMMARY

The SMW-45A is a walk-behind rice field weeder designed for 4-row and 5-row operation.
With a simplified structure and improved usability, it offers farmers an affordable and efficient tool for organic rice cultivation.

FEATURES

  • One unit supports both 4-row and 5-row weeding.
  • Lightweight design (38 kg) for easy operation.
  • Equipped with a compact 26 cc engine.
  • Fixed 30 cm row spacing (custom 33 cm available).
  • Simplified structure for lower cost and easy maintenance.
  • Ideal for organic rice cultivation.

OPERATING METHOD

The SMW-45A can handle both 4-row and 5-row weeding with a single machine by adjusting the travel position and turning pattern.
All spiral rollers used for weeding are 20 cm in diameter.
If the boundary between rows is narrow, there is a risk of stepping on the rice plants, so please ensure enough turning space during transplanting.

When Weeding 4 Rows

Start weeding from the inter-row section facing the levee.
At this time, the opposite side of the weeding unit will align with the boundary row.
Continue operating back and forth along this boundary row when turning.
By repeatedly following this path, you can effectively cover a 4-row width.
If there are extra rows left at the end, adjust by shifting the running position slightly.
It is acceptable if some rows are weeded twice.

When Weeding 5 Rows

For 5-row operation, the first row next to the levee will not be covered by the weeding unit.
Start by positioning the machine between the first and second rows.
In this case, the opposite side of the weeding unit will align with the boundary row.
Unlike the 4-row method, do not run back and forth along the boundary row when turning.
By proceeding without overlapping rows, you can cover a 5-row width efficiently.
If you also wish to weed the first row next to the levee or have extra rows remaining at the end, shift the running position as needed.
It is acceptable if some overlap occurs.

Note: Preparation is required before use.
